The short version. We collect your email address, and your city if you choose to share it, so we can tell you when Sushi Saved launches.

We never sell your information, never share it for advertising, and don't use tracking cookies. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing hello@sushisaved.com.

1. Who we are

Sushi Saved ("we," "us," "our") runs the website sushisaved.com and is building the Sushi Saved app. We are based in Georgia, United States. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Sushi Saved is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

This policy covers our website and waitlist. When the Sushi Saved app launches, we will update this policy, or publish a separate one, to explain what the app collects before you use it.

We will not use your information for any purpose you would not reasonably expect without telling you first and, where required, asking for your consent.

4. Emails from us

If you join the waitlist, we'll email you about the launch of Sushi Saved. Every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. We'll honor unsubscribe requests promptly and within 10 business days at most.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers who help us run Sushi Saved, and only as needed for them to provide their service to us:

If we start using an email-sending service for launch announcements, we'll add it here before we use it. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

6. Cookies

Our website does not set cookies for tracking or advertising. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical measures to deliver and protect the site. If we ever add cookies that aren't strictly necessary, we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

We treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, though we don't sell or share it in the first place.

To make a request, email hello@sushisaved.com from the address you signed up with. We may need to confirm your identity first. We'll respond within 30 days, or sooner if the law where you live requires it. We won't charge you, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland

You have the rights above under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

If you are in California or another U.S. state with a privacy law

Residents of California and states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and others have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to access, correct, and delete it; and to opt out of its sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling. We do not sell or share personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling. In the past 12 months, we have collected identifiers (email address), general location (city, if provided), and internet activity information (server logs), from the sources and for the purposes described above. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we'll explain our decision.

If you are in Canada, Brazil, Australia, or elsewhere

You have the rights provided by your local law, such as Canada's PIPEDA, Brazil's LGPD, and Australia's Privacy Act, including rights to access and correct your information and to complain to your local privacy regulator. Contact us and we'll help.

9. International transfers

Sushi Saved is based in the United States, and our service providers store information in the United States. If you're outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed there. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers' participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), reputable service providers, restricted account access, and two-factor authentication on our accounts. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we work to protect it and will notify you and the appropriate authorities of a breach where the law requires.

11. Children

Sushi Saved is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy as Sushi Saved grows, including before the app launches. We'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, and if the changes are significant, we'll let waitlist members know by email before they take effect.
